I used to have a good ab routine when i went to the gym but after my recent shoulder surgery i have slowly been returning to the gym and it seems like all of the old exercises seem to aggravate it. I would really love to start doing some ab exercises again, as i feel so out of shape! Does anyone have any good workouts or exercises they could reccommand that won’t bother them as much?

I just started doing HIP HOP AB’S. and they say to hold the core in. I dont know what that is. Do just hold and release my stomach muscels? and why do my upper thighs hurt worse?

I know theres no such thing as spot reducing. or a specific spot to lose fat on, i just want to know if you train your abs a lot would it APPEAR that you look skinnier? does it pull your fat in since its more tight?
